New Project Support from TÜBİTAK 3501 Career Development Program to Asst. Prof. Mine Yıldırım

It is our distinct pleasure to announce that the project coordinated by Asst. Prof. Mine Yıldırım from the Core Program and entitled “Towards a multi-stakeholder integrated disaster management: Demands, expectations and solutions for the inclusion of veterinarians in emergency preparedness, disaster response and post-disaster recovery processes in Istanbul” has been funded by TUBİTAK 3501 – National Young Researchers Career Development Program.

The project aims to demonstrate the contributions of veterinary doctors in Istanbul to integrated disaster management by including activities to preserve the health of pets. The project intends to collect qualitative data on the societal resilience and contributions to public health, welfare, and well-being by integrating the protective medical activities for pets into disaster management in Istanbul. It aims to analyze the “role of veterinary doctors in disasters” from an analytical perspective by collecting and analyzing these data politically and sociologically.

We congratulate our faculty member for her achievement and wish for the continuation of her success.
