Nuri Has was born in 1972 in Istanbul.

He completed his primary education at Ahmet Örnekal Elementary School, and his secondary education at Private Kalamış high School. Has received education in language and business administration at Georgetown University (Washington, DC) and The American University (Washington, DC), and was awarded bachelor’s degree from the Department of Business Administration at the Faculty of Economics and Administrative Sciences, Kadir Has University.

Nuri Has started his professional career at Has Otomotiv Ticaret ve Sanayi A.Ş. in 1994, and was appointed to the position of General Manager in 2003, then to the position of Chairman of the Board of Directors of this company in 2007 and then 2014.

Nuri Has has been serving at the Kadir Has Foundation, which was founded in 1992, since 1996 holding the positions of Foundation Deputy Manager and Foundation Manager respectively, and then was elected as Member of the Board of Trustees in 1999.

Nuri Has served as the Chairman of Kadir Has Foundation for a term, and has been holding the position of Deputy Chairman of the Foundation since July 1, 2023.

Elected to the position of Member of the Board of Trustees at Kadir Has University in 2004, Has held the position of the Chairman of the Board of Trustees from 2007 to 2011 and from 2015 to 2019, and the position of the Deputy Chairman of the Board of Trustees from 2011 to 2015 and from 2019 to 2023, and then was reappointed to the position of Chairman of the Board of Trustees at Kadir Has University as of July 1, 2023.
