Best Practices
Select Your Role
Recommendations
  • Prepare your assignments in standard PDF or Word (DOCX) formats.
  • Avoid leaving file submissions to the final minutes before deadlines.
  • After uploading, ensure your submission status clearly displays Submitted.
Common Issues

Scanned image-only PDFs or special characters in filenames (e.g., Turkish characters) may cause submission and processing errors.

If a page fails to load properly, try an alternative browser or clear your browser cache/cookies.
Recommendations
  • Keep weekly module titles clear, consistent, and well-structured.
  • Explicitly specify allowed file formats, size limits, and exact deadlines in assignment descriptions.
  • Verify notification settings when posting urgent announcements to ensure emails are dispatched.
When reviewing Turnitin similarity reports, evaluate matched sources to ensure proper citations.
Frequently Asked Questions
Select Your Role

First, verify that your course registration is officially approved in SPARKS (Student Affairs). Also, make sure the filter on your My Courses page is set to “All”.

If you see the green Submitted for grading status on the assignment page, your submission is complete. If you suspect an issue, capture a full screenshot and contact your instructor.

Access requires your institutional university email and password. If you need a password reset, follow the IT Directorate's institutional account reset procedures.

Ensure that Course Visibility under course settings is set to Show and that the course start date has actively commenced.

If a student resubmits to an assignment more than 3 times, Turnitin system rules enforce a 24-hour delay before generating each subsequent report.

Confirm that the assignment or quiz activity is not set to Hidden and that the grade item is not concealed within the Gradebook settings.
