Center for Excellence in Learning and Teaching (CELT)
A strategic academic unit dedicated to sustainably enhancing the quality of teaching and learning across our university, reinforcing student-centered approaches, and providing evidence-based contributions to educational decision-making processes.
- Providing academic support for developing program- and course-level learning outcomes.
- Delivering pedagogical guidance on curriculum design and course improvement processes.
- Coordinating YÖK Micro-Credentials and Coursera course integrations.
- Training of trainers programs supporting the pedagogical development of academic staff.
- Promoting and embedding active learning methodologies and innovative instructional practices.
- Executing institutional educational initiatives such as the Education Support Scholarship and High School Summer/Winter Academies.
- KHAS Learn - Learning Management System: Maintaining the digital continuity of all university-wide courses throughout the academic calendar; delivering uninterrupted instructional operations and user support.
- SAP Integration & Systems Management: Managing automated synchronizations of courses, sections, and student enrollments from SAP to KHAS Learn; continuously overseeing server performance, data backups, and core system updates.
- Educational Technologies & Assessment Tools: Integrating and actively administering secure examination environments (SEB), originality verification systems (Turnitin), and interactive instructional tools.
- Analyzing academic surveys and institutional evaluation data from a pedagogical perspective.
- Examining patterns in student achievement, retention, and overall learning experiences.
- Formulating evidence-based improvement proposals for the Education Commission and senior leadership.
Operating under the Vice Rectorate for Academic Affairs, our center fosters institutional cohesion in active collaboration with the Education Commission, Academic Faculties, Dean of Students, Directorate of Student Affairs, Quality Assurance Unit (KADED), International & Exchange Programs Offices, and Accessible KHAS.

In line with YÖKAK Institutional Accreditation criteria, CELT reinforces a student-centered educational culture, expands evidence production, and enhances traceability across learning and teaching to foster institutional quality assurance.
