Sexual Harassment and Sexual Assault Prevention Unit

Kadir Has University aims to create an environment of trust and equality on its campuses in which all stakeholders of the University can express themselves and their ideas freely. It seeks to provide a safe environment where those who have been subjected to or witnessed gender-based harassment, sexual harassment, and sexual assault can speak up.

About the Application:

Applications to the Unit for the Prevention of Sexual Harassment and Sexual Assault (CİTÖB) may be submitted by all members of the University community, including Kadir Has University’s academic and administrative staff, representatives and employees of subcontractor firms, employees of all persons and businesses providing services to the University, and students. Applications cover all forms of gender-based harassment, sexual harassment, and sexual assault committed by members of the University community against one another or against third parties on University campuses and in places and vehicles allocated for University services, without limitation as to place or time, as long as all parties or at least one of the parties continues to be involved in University life. Applications may be submitted in person or via the unit’s email address. Anonymous applications are not taken into consideration; however, the applicant’s identity will be kept confidential throughout the entire process (and afterwards). If any action is initiated regarding the application, the applicant shall be informed about:
  • The stages and outcome of the process carried out,
  • Legal and other remedy mechanisms in line with their needs, and the procedures followed within these mechanisms,
  • The risks involved in the processes and the measures that can be taken,
  • Psychological, medical, and legal support mechanisms provided both by the University and outside the University.
