Sports at KHAS

Kadir Has University is active in many branches of sports. Sports activities at our university aim to improve the skills and abilities of students, as well as to spend quality time, develop their physical abilities outside of education and cultural activities, and contribute to the development of physical health. At the same time, our sports teams represent our university in the competitions of the University Sports Federation in different branches. Our teams, which are successful in the championships and ranked in Turkey, also succeed in going to the EUSA European Games.

Sports activities are carried out in different fields at our university by coaches who are experts in their branches:

 

Our university has the necessary infrastructure and technical equipment to form teams, participate in sports organizations and organize events. Apart from this infrastructure and technical support, the most important incentive is that our students participating in sports activities are supported with sports scholarships according to their degree of success.

Athlete Scholarships are awarded at different rates to our athlete students who take part in university sports teams, represent the university in the relevant branch and meet the conditions specified in the Undergraduate Scholarship Directive https://my.khas.edu.tr/uploads/files/mevzuat/lisans-burs-yonergesi6.pdf. Students who wish to apply must fill out the Candidate Student Athlete Scholarship Application Form. In addition, within the scope of the protocol made with the Ministry of Youth and Sports and covering National Athletes, the “Nationality Scholarship” to be given in the 2024-2025 Academic Year is determined as a result of the evaluation made by the University Scholarship Commission and the candidate student is informed in writing before the end of the preference period. Priority branches according to team quotas in the Nationality Scholarship are rowing, swimming, fencing, squash, basketball, volleyball, taekwando, wrestling, karate, judo, sailing, athletics, skiing, chess. In addition, within the scope of the protocol made with the Ministry of Youth and Sports and covering National Athletes, the “Nationality Scholarship” to be given in the 2024-2025 Academic Year is determined as a result of the evaluation made by the University Scholarship Commission and the candidate student is informed in writing before the end of the preference period. Priority branches according to team quotas in the Nationality Scholarship; rowing, swimming, fencing, squash, basketball, volleyball, taekwando, wrestling, karate, judo, sailing, athletics, skiing, chess. The quota for the number of people is 1 sport.

Applications will be made by filling out the Candidate Student Athlete Scholarship Application Form. The results will be sent to the contact address indicated on the form.
