Prof. Erdal Panayırcı Elected as Fellow of the Artificial Intelligence International Scientist Academy

Emeritus Prof. Dr. Erdal Panayırcı, a distinguished faculty member of the Department of Electrical and Electronics Engineering at our Faculty of Engineering and Natural Sciences, has been elected as a Fellow of the Artificial Intelligence International Scientist Academy (AAIS).

Prof. Dr. Panayırcı was granted this prestigious title in recognition of his pioneering contributions to the fields of communication and signal processing, as well as his globally recognized scientific achievements.

A Global Academic Distinction

The AAIS is a prestigious global institution with more than 250,000 members worldwide. Within this vast network, the title of “Fellow” is reserved for a highly select group of only 2,435 scientists. This distinguished community includes Nobel Laureates, ACM Turing Award winners, and members of various national academies of sciences.

The inclusion of Prof. Dr. Panayırcı—who is also a member of the Science Academy of Türkiye—in this prestigious international community is a source of great pride for both our university and the academic community in Türkiye.
