Our Rector, Prof. Dr. Ayşe Başar, Hosted Our Sailing Team, Which Returned with the Trophy
Kadir Has University Rector Prof. Dr. Ayşe Başar continues to meet with the university’s teams that have achieved success in various sports disciplines. As part of this initiative, our Rector hosted our Sailing Team at her office to celebrate their outstanding achievement at the Campus Cup Yacht Races, organized by the Marmaris International Yacht Sports Club from March 31 to April 2, 2026.
Our team, which won the second-place trophy in the ORC-E class at the races held on the Muğla-Marmaris course, shared their success stories and goals for the upcoming season during the visit. The meeting, which was also attended by our Sports Units Expert Aysel Damar, included Captain Yiğit Eren Yılmaz, Helmswoman Dilay Balaban, Main Sail Irmak Ünal, and Zeynep Gülsüm Aydın from the trim team, representing the team.
Prof. Dr. Ayşe Başar congratulated each of our students individually and expressed her gratitude to all our athletes who successfully represent our university in international-standard events.
