The Research Council of Norway Supports Our Department of International Relations’ Research Project

It is our distinct pleasure to announce that the project titled “Conditions for stability and sustainable returns in Syria”, in which Prof. Dr. Mustafa Aydın from the Department of International Relations is one of the partners, has been awarded funding by The Research Council of Norway. The project is coordinated by Chr. Michelsen Institute (CMI).

This project examines the relationship between Syria’s state stabilization process and the sustainable return of displaced populations. By analysing policies and practices at the international, national, and local levels, the project aims to generate evidence that supports Syria’s reconstruction and informs international policymaking on stabilization, refugee return, and reintegration.

Ph.D. Student Sezen Kaya Sönmez takes part in the project as a Researcher.
