Dear Members of Kadir Has University,
We are pleased to invite you to the Annual Meeting on the Risks of Future Crime (AMRFC), to be held in person from May 14–16, 2025, at Kadir Has University, Istanbul.
The AMRFC brings together scholars, industry, and policymakers to exchange information and knowledge about the future of crime and the future of crime research. Its goal is to highlight and promote interdisciplinary and multi-sector experts to present original research and industry state-or-play talks by researchers, policy-makers, and industry leaders to share cutting edge findings and trends across a multitude of criminal behaviors and enterprises. It also aims to threat forecast new types of crime and recommend policy and interventions to control, prevent, or intervene these threats before they generate large-scale negative outcomes for society. Topics range widely but cover the advent of accelerating technologies (artificial intelligence, machine learning, robotics, virtual reality, law enforcement and private deterrence technologies, biotechnology and biohacking, manipulation of social media platforms and processes, the use of cryptocurrencies to facilitate or perpetrate crimes, jurisdictional and legal challenges to enforcement and prevention, public-private partnerships, the development of new statistical and actuarial methodologies, etc). Disciplines represented include management information sciences, criminology, computer science, law, sociology, biotechnology, psychology, risk management, engineering, public policy and others.
