Asst. Prof. Canan DAĞDEVİREN
Born in Istanbul in 1985, Canan Dağdeviren graduated from the Department of Physics Engineering at Hacettepe University in 2007, and afterward, she completed her Master’s Degree in Materials Science and Engineering Program at Sabancı University in 2009.
She received her Ph.D. from the Materials Science and Engineering Department at the University of Illinois in the USA in 2014. During her doctorate intern, she studied flexible and foldable electronic instruments that can be injected into the body or on the skin in areas falling within the scope of physics, electronics, chemistry, material science, and medicine.
Continuing her research at the Massachusetts Institute of Technology (MIT) Media Lab, Dr. Dağdeviren is a Junior Fellow of Harvard University.
She is now hailed as a significant name in the world in the field of medical technology thanks to her multi-disciplinary invention even though she is younger than 30 years old.
Dr. Canan Dağdeviren is currently a member of the Board of Trustees in Kadir Has University as of September 18, 2019.
