Prof. Erdal Panayırcı Elected as Fellow of the Artificial Intelligence International Scientist Academy

Emeritus Prof. Erdal Panayırcı, a distinguished faculty member of our Department of Electrical and Electronics Engineering at the Faculty of Engineering and Natural Sciences, has been elected as a Fellow of the Artificial Intelligence International Scientist Academy (AAIS).

Prof. Panayırcı was granted this prestigious title in recognition of his outstanding achievements in the fields of communication and signal processing, marking him as one of the preeminent scientists in his discipline.

A Global Academic Distinction

The AAIS is a premier global institution with over 250,000 members worldwide. Within this vast network, the “Fellow” distinction is reserved for a select group of only 2,435 scientists. This elite circle includes two Nobel Laureates, three ACM Turing Award winners, and members of various national academies of sciences.
The inclusion of Prof. Panayırcı—who is also a member of the Turkish Academy of Sciences (TÜBA)—in this prestigious international community stands as a testament to the global impact of his research and brings great honor to our university.

We extend our heartiest congratulations to our esteemed professor on this significant achievement.
