Our Computer Engineering student May Baker receives a grant from the EU-supported 3DBigDataSpace project

It is our distinct pleasure to announce that our student from the Computer Engineering Department, May Baker, has been awarded a prestigious grant under the EU co-funded 3DBigDataSpace Outreach Call, coordinated by the Time Machine Organisation.

“The Golden Bond: Unfolding the Kapulukaya Hoard” project presents an interactive digital storytelling experience centred on 4th century Roman gold coins, enabling users to explore 3D models, trace their historical movement between Antioch and Ancyra, and engage with the material through augmented reality.

Working alongside Assoc. Prof. Sinem Aslan from the University of Milan and Prof. Dr Zeynep Çizmeli Öğün from Ankara University, reflects a multidisciplinary collaboration at the intersection of computational methods and cultural heritage research. May Baker takes part as a Systems Integration Lead in the project.

We congratulate our student for her achievement and wish her continued success.
