TÜBİTAK 3005 Project Support for PhD Student Asya Özer
It is our distinct pleasure to announce that the project coordinated by the PhD Candidate Asya Özer from the Communication Studies Program and entitled “Media Discourses on the “Year of the Family” and Social Perceptions of Family Policies” has been funded by TUBİTAK 3005 – Innovative Solutions in Social Sciences and Humanities Program.
Asst. Prof. Perrin Öğün Emre takes part in the project as a Researcher.
This project aims to examine how the discourse of the “Year of the Family” is constructed through the media and politics, and the reflections of these structures on social perceptions. It evaluates not only how family policies are presented at the public level, but also how individuals interpret and position these discourses within a social context in their daily lives, using a holistic approach that combines qualitative and quantitative methods.
