Asst. Prof. Vahit Barış Tavakol Featured as Invited Speaker at International ARISE Webinar

Asst. Prof. Vahit Barış Tavakol, from the Mechatronics Engineering Department at Kadir Has University, contributed to the EU-funded ARISE Project webinar, “Synergizing EV Technologies: Engineering Efficiency, Intelligence, and Sustainability,” as an invited speaker.

The webinar, held on February 26, brought together leading experts across Europe to discuss solid-state battery technologies, intelligent energy systems, EV optimization, and advanced thermal management.

In his talk titled “Intelligent State Estimation and Risk-Aware Decision Making in Energy Systems,” Dr. Tavakol presented a vision for next-generation battery management systems (BMS) that integrate state-estimation algorithms with quantitative thermal-runaway risk assessment within a unified probabilistic framework.

The event also highlighted the COLLABAT Cluster, an initiative of EU-funded R&D projects focused on accelerating sustainable electric mobility in Europe. Dr. Tavakol’s participation underscores Kadir Has University’s role in global academic collaborations on intelligent energy technologies.
