TUBITAK ARDEB 1001 Project is Looking for Graduate Fellows

In the TÜBİTAK ARDEB 1001 project titled “Modeling the MVRPCD Problem with Three-Dimensional Loading Constraints and Development of a New Hybrid Metaheuristic Algorithm” (Executor: Prof. Dr. Funda Samanlıoğlu, Kadir Has University, Industrial Engineering, Researchers: Prof. Dr. Fatih Erdoğan Sevilgen, Fatih Sultan Mehmet Vakıf University, Management Information Systems and Alper Gün, HepsiJET) is looking for graduate students. This project aims to mathematically model a vehicle loading and routing problem with cross-docking, time windows of stopover points, three-dimensional loading constraints and customer visit order, and to develop an efficient hybrid metaheuristic algorithm for solving this problem. Supported for up to 24 months, the graduate fellows will work on the development of the algorithm, analysis of the algorithm’s performance using test problems from the literature, real-life problem solving, and sensitivity analysis. Graduate students who wish to work in the project are expected to have an advanced knowledge of C++ and to work and code with the PhD student. Candidates who wish to take part in the project are kindly requested to send their CV and contact information to Prof. Dr. Funda Samanlıoğlu ([email protected]).
