Prof. Dr. Assist. Doğan Hızlan Literature Criticism and Review Award to Şehnaz Şişmanoğlu

Kadir Has University Core Program Department Dr. Assist. Prof. Şehnaz Şişmanoğlu’s Binamaz Between Two Churches: Language, Identity and Rewriting in Karamanlica Literature was awarded the fourth Doğan Hızlan Literary Criticism and Review Award this year.

The study, which makes a valuable contribution to the history of Turkish literature with its cultural diversity, will shed light on future research in the field of Karamanlid literature. Drawing attention with its methodological approach and rich bibliography, the work constitutes an important example in the field of literary analysis.

The selection committee included respected names of the literary world such as Çimen Günay-Erkol, Metin Kayahan Özgül, Nedret Öztokat Kılıçeri, Nilüfer Kuyaş, Oğuz Demiralp and Turhan Günay.
