Great Success of our Theater Department Students and Graduates

Burcu Gölgedar and Ece Yüksel, graduates of the Department of Theater, starred in “Three Thousand Years of Longing”, the opening film of the 75th Cannes Film Festival, the world’s most prestigious cinema event. Burcu and Ece joined the cast of the film, directed by George Miller and starring Tilda Swinton and Idris Elba, after a workshop led by the film’s dramaturg Nicholas Lathouris.

Our Film and Drama MA student Ezgi Baltaş, who was the casting director of the Istanbul leg of “Three Thousand Years of Longing”, was also the casting director of “Dry Days” directed by Emin Alper, which was accepted to the festival from Turkey and included in the “Un Certain Regard” section, and participated in the festival with two films.

We sincerely congratulate our students and graduates for these great achievements and we are delighted to share this news with you.
