When can I go to Erasmus or Exchange?

For bachelor students, It is recommended to do their exchange in their 3rd year of study. However, it is possible to go on an exchange after the compilation of the first year of studies at the earliest.

It is risky, but you can go; however, it is critical to acknowledge that your graduation might be affected due to the failure of some courses and the late arrival of your transcript.

It is 30 ECTS.

Yes, you can benefit from mobility as a zero-grant student. The procedures and the recognition would be the same.

For student mobility and traineeship mobility, at each cycle (bachelor’s, master’s, and phd), you have 12 months max.

Yes! On the condition that your coordinator at Kadir Has and the host university approves your extension.

During the nomination period, the welcoming university receives huge applications and questions. Please give them sufficient time (10 to 16 days), and then you can send a reminder email (please cc our office address in your e-mail so we can also follow up on your case).

You can apply but cannot benefit from two mobility programs in the same period. You must choose one of the two exchange mobility or use the other mobility in a different period.

Yes! It’s essential. You must renew your registration at Kadir Has before you go. However, you are not allowed to take or attend any courses online or offline from Kadir Has. 

Students’ placement scores are calculated as follows: % 50% of the student’s CGPA + % 50% of the language score. Students are ranked based on their placement scores and partner university quotas for specific department/departments.

Students can list up to 5 preferences while completing their application. We recommend that our students list alternative destinations. Please note that you won’t be able to change your preferences or be placed at another university after the placement, unless there is a force majeure event.

Yes, the specific dates and times of the information sessions and Q&A sessions for the Erasmus+ Program will be announced via email when the Erasmus+ applications start.

Students who are selected for Fall Semester can change their exchange period to Spring, provided that their host university approves this change. Students who are selected for Spring cannot change their semesters to Fall if the nomination and application deadlines have passed. Students can only change their semester with the approval of Erasmus+ and Exchange Office.

After the placements are complete, the students will then be nominated by us to partner Erasmus+ universities. Fall students’ nominations are done before Spring students’ nominations. The students will be responsible for completing their application to the host university phase by providing the required documents by the deadline. Please be aware of the deadline communicated by the partner university.

If students do not meet our partner university’s application and quota requirements, partner universities might reject the students’ applications. In that case, we will try to place the students in their other preferred options, depending on the availability of the quota.

 

No, students are responsible for making the arrangements for their own visa application, insurance and accommodation. Each country and partner institution might have their own visa, insurance and accommodation procedures. We ask our students to follow the guidelines of their host university and pay attention to the relevant country’s consulate’s rules and regulations for these arrangements. Erasmus+ and the Exchange Office will share the latest updates that are sent by the Turkish National Agency or the Consulates.

Grants are paid to students in two instalments. 70% of the grant is paid before departure, following the submission of before mobility documents to office and the remaining 30% is paid after the student submits all required after mobility documents.

All Erasmus+ students must submit the required documents to participate in the program, regardless of whether they receive the Erasmus+ grant.

After completing their Erasmus+ semesters, students should follow up on their course transfer procedures. Erasmus+ transcripts must be submitted to the Erasmus+ Office to start the course transfer procedures.
