Asst. Prof. Farzaneh Larti Receives Project Support from The Rory Belle Foundation-US

It is our distinct pleasure to announce that the project coordinated by Asst. Prof. Farzaneh Larti from the Molecular Biology and Genetics Department and entitled “In Vivo Modeling of NARS1 Variants Using Drosophila melanogaster” has been funded by The Rory Belle Foundation-US.

This project will generate and characterize Drosophila melanogaster models carrying disease-associated NARS1 variants to define neuropathogenic mechanisms in vivo. It will also establish a rapid, genetically tractable platform for preclinical therapeutic screening in NARS1-related neurodevelopmental disorders.

We congratulate our faculty member for her achievement and wish her continued success.
