Interior Architecture and Environmental Design

The Interior Architecture and Environmental Design Undergraduate Program at Kadir Has University approaches interior space not merely as an aesthetic design object, but as a multidimensional environment shaped by the interaction of people, culture, the environment, and technology. The program aims to educate creative, critical-thinking, research-oriented, and ethically responsible interior architects. At the core of the curriculum are design studios that are fully integrated with theoretical and technical courses. Supported by industry collaborations, site visits, expert mentors, and project-based learning, the educational process enables students to establish strong connections with professional practice from the early years of their studies. Technical competencies—including building technologies, materials, lighting, acoustics, and environmental performance—are developed alongside core values such as sustainability, accessibility, and professional ethics, all of which are integral components of the curriculum. Delivered entirely in English and aligned with the Bologna Process and the Turkish Qualifications Framework for Higher Education, the program prepares graduates for successful careers at both national and international levels in interior architecture and architecture firms, creative industries, project management, and academic research.
