TÜBİTAK ARDEB 1001 Support for 3 Research Projects from Our University

It is our distinct pleasure to announce that three research projects submitted by our university have been awarded funding under the 1st term of 2026 TÜBİTAK ARDEB 1001 program.

The funded projects are as follows:

Asst. Prof. Nuray Söğünmez Erdoğan from the Department of Molecular Biology and Genetics is the principal investigator of the project titled “Dynamic Analysis of Gene Interaction Networks in Irregularly Sampled Single Cell RNA Sequencing Time Series”. Assoc. Prof. Deniz Eroğlu also takes part as advisor in the project.

Asst. Prof. Fabio Stroppa from the Department of Computer Engineering is the principal investigator of the project titled “Scalable Architectures for Soft Growing Robots with Active Retraction and Tool Integration”. Asst. Prof. Mine Saraç Stroppa also takes part as advisor in the project.

Asst. Prof. Burcu Çiğdem Yılmaz from the Department of Interior Architecture and Environmental Design is the principal investigator of the project titled “Enhancing Occupant-Centered Energy Efficiency in Educational Buildings: Development of Behavioral Models and Optimal Control Strategies through Machine Learning”. Prof. Dr. Banu Manav, Asst. Prof. Mine Koyaz Güçer, and Asst. Prof. Arif Selçuk Öğrenci are researchers in the project, while Assoc. Prof. Taner Arsan takes part as advisor. This project has received conditional funding.
