Erasmus Blended Intensive Program (BIP) Delaminating Istanbul “Valens Aqueduct”

The Istanbul Module of the Erasmus Blended Intensive Program (BIP) Delaminating Istanbul “Valens Aqueduct”, focusing on the delamination of Istanbul’s historical and architectural landscape through the case study of the Valens Aqueduct, has been successfully completed between 29 September and 3 October 2025.

Hosted by Kadir Has University’s Faculty of Art and Design and coordinated by the Aarhus School of Architecture, this dynamic initiative facilitated the convergence of both international and local participants, fostering a comprehensive exploration of Istanbul’s multifaceted heritage. The program aimed to deepen understanding of the city’s layered history, rich cultural fabric, and architectural evolution, thereby contributing to academic discourse and intercultural exchange within the context of heritage studies and urban morphology. We extend our sincere gratitude to all participants and the UNESCO Chair, KHAS University for their valuable contributions and engagement throughout this enriching experience.
