TUBITAK 1001 Project Scholarship Announcement
We are looking for a scholarship holder to work in the TÜBİTAK 1001 project titled “How to Increase Social Cooperation Under the Threat of Earthquake?”, which is carried out by Assoc. Prof. Onurcan Yılmaz, one of our faculty members in the Department of Psychology, Faculty of Economics, Administrative and Social Sciences.
We are looking for colleagues experienced in visual design and video editing to be employed in a TÜBİTAK 1001 project!
MINT Lab (https://www.moralintuitionslab.com/ilan) is an interdisciplinary lab that studies morality, religion, politics and decision-making. Therefore, we welcome applications from all academic disciplines and prioritize academic diversity. The graduate fellow will work closely with PhD and MA students, especially the lab coordinators, and is expected to attend weekly lab meetings (face-to-face or online).
Main Duties and Responsibilities
- To produce creative video and visual materials according to the content determined to be used within the scope of our research (resource scarcity, earthquake, etc.),
- Archiving raw images in different formats and editing and editing on these images,
- Adding image and sound effects to videos,
- Producing animated graphics and infographics,
- Producing visual materials for announcements and announcements to be shared on social media.
Optional Skills and Specialties
- To be proficient in Adobe After Effects, Adobe Premiere, Adobe Illustrator and Adobe Photoshop programs,
- Experience in video and photo montage,
- To have a developed aesthetic perspective and strong time management,
- A background in content production and channel management on Youtube,
- Web page development background and ability,
- Experience in developing web applications (e.g. Shiny app) with R programming etc,
- To reside in Istanbul.
Note: Candidates should send their CV and a maximum 2-page letter of intent (times new roman, 12 font size, 1.5 spaces) to mintlab@khas.edu.tr and firat.seker@khas.edu.tr. Applications will be evaluated until a suitable candidate is found. If found suitable, the fellow can start immediately. The project will end on 01.11.2024, so the maximum validity period of the fellowship ends on this date.
The qualifications described in the “Optional Skills and Specializations” are not a requirement; if the required qualifications are available, the fellowship can be held online. Candidates will receive a salary at the upper limit set by TÜBİTAK for graduate students (13,500 TL as of January 2024). If the candidates are Kadir Has University graduate students, they will also have extra monetary benefits provided by Kadir Has University, determined for that year.
