Before &  After Arrival

Before Arrival

Visa Procedures

If you are from a country that requires a visa to enter Turkiye, you need to obtain a student visa. Please check the official government website for visa rules, requirements, and the list of visa-exempt countries. You can also verify the legally allowed duration of stay in Turkey, with or without a visa, based on your nationality at the following link:  https://www.mfa.gov.tr/visa-information-for-foreigners.en.mfa

Contact the closest Turkish embassy in your country to verify whether you require a visa to enter Turkiye. If a visa is necessary, contact the embassy to learn about required documents and proceed with your application. Once you have applied for a visa, you need to let us know which embassy you applied to so that we can send a visa support letter to the embassy. Contact us at [email protected].

Those with visa exemptions should travel to Turkiye with their passports. Please do not travel with your ID card. (valid for some countries, such as Azerbaijan)

Tuition Payment

Before arrival to Turkiye, you need to pay the first half of your tuition fee, the amount is written in the official acceptance letter. During registration your tuition fee should be already in the university’s bank account. If you do not complete payment via bank transfer before arrival, you will face delays during registration process.

For countries who are not Apostille Convention Signatories: your high school diploma and transcripts must be approved/stamped by the Ministry of Education or Ministry of Foreign affairs or the embassy.

To be able to apply for Equivalency the following documents are necessary:

  • Diploma or document that states that the applicants are entitled to receive a diploma – With apostille, in the absence of apostille, approved by the ministry of education, the ministry of foreign affairs, or the embassy.
