Milan is one of the most important innovation hubs in the international design world, serving as a mecca for the field. The city, a key symbol of Italy’s creative industrial production after World War II, is now not only one of the fashion capitals of the world but also a design center. Milan fulfills this dynamic mission through the annual Salone Del Mobile Furniture Fair and the exhibitions, workshops, new product launches, and promotional parties held in parallel with the fair. Hosting approximately 500,000 visitors during the second week of April each year, the city transforms into an interactive design museum throughout the fair.
