Steps to Follow for Students Doing an Internship

In accordance with the Internship Guidelines of the Faculty of Engineering and Natural Sciences, students may choose their internship organization from the lists available on the Career Center website and in the MyKHAS system or, with the approval of their department, complete their internship at an organization not included in these lists. Students must submit their mandatory internship applications through the Career Module in the MyKHAS system at least 15 days before the internship start date. To apply for a mandatory internship, students must be registered in the relevant internship course prior to the term in which they will complete their internship. Applications are reviewed by the faculty member on the internship committee of the relevant department.

• Students fill out the internship notebook by describing the work they do in detail, day by day. (Each working day must be written on a separate page. If necessary, more than one page may be used for a single working day; in this case, the same date is written on each of these pages.) Students are required to read the appendices of the Internship Guidelines relevant to their department and fulfill their requirements. For example, Industrial Engineering students must also answer the Management Internship or Production Internship questions.
• At the end of the internship, the following documents must be submitted to the internship committee in full:(Turkish version)
  • Internship Notebook
  • Internship Evaluation Form (Students give this form to the host organization at the start of the internship. Upon completion of the internship, the form is filled out, signed and stamped by the workplace internship supervisor, and delivered to the internship committee in a sealed envelope.)
  • Company Evaluation Survey (This must be submitted by hand, separately from the internship notebook.)
