KHAS Economy Seminars – Bilge Erten

We are very pleased to host Bilge Erten at the KHAS Economics Seminars.
Bilge Erten is an Assistant Professor of Economics and International Relations at Northeastern University.
Her research interests lie at the intersection of gender, development and international economics, and she conducts empirical studies.
Much of her work can be organized under two themes:

  1. Causes, consequences and generational transmission of domestic violence
  2. The impact of globalization on structural transformation and labor market inequality in developing countries

She is an Associate Editor of Feminist Economics and a member of the Northeastern Gender and Development Initiative. She is also a Research Associate at the Institute for the Study of Labor (IZA).
