DESIGNHUB-IST Design Education and Application Center Project Self Evaluation and Closing Meeting was held

The self-evaluation and closing meeting of the DESIGNHUB-İST Design Education and Application Center project carried out by the Faculty of Art and Design of our university was held on May 25th. The meeting was also organized as a platform for the Faculty to meet with project-based education and industry partners.

Firstly, our Rector Prof. Dr. Sondan Durukanoğlu Feyiz thanked the project team and the participants. Then Prof. Dr. Banu Manav, General Coordinator of the Project / Dean of the Faculty of Art and Design, explained the 18-month process of the project and the activities carried out in detail. The goals, achievements and results of the project were presented to the participants:

In 18 months, our physical center organized 21 events including 3 international panels, 3 national panels, 1 international workshop, 5 trainings and 9 other trainings attended. Through these events and collaborations, 60 hours of training was provided and 628 people were reached. While introducing our center to more design centers and individuals through collaborations and interviews, we also gained 214 people as members of our website.

At the event, our rector presented certificates of appreciation to the sector partners who supported the project-based education activities of the faculty.

The meeting, which was attended by nearly 50 participants, ended with the thanks of Prof. Manav, General Coordinator of the Project, to all participants.
