Microsoft Teams serves as the primary communication infrastructure for live lectures, seminars, and institutional meetings across our university. Sessions require institutional KHAS email authentication, and course workflows are managed accordingly.
Web / Desktop: Sign in via browser at teams.microsoft.com or download the desktop application.
- Live Class Scheduling: Organizing sessions via calendar and integrating directly with KHAS Learn.
- Breakout Rooms: Dividing students into smaller collaborative cohorts during lectures.
- Session Recordings: Recording live lectures for archiving and subsequent review.
- Secure Environment: Protected class spaces restricted strictly to authenticated KHAS participants.
- Sign In: Log in using your institutional email address.
- Join Class: Click the session link in your calendar or via your KHAS Learn course page.
- Audio/Video Etiquette: Keep your microphone muted upon entry and adhere to instructor camera guidelines.
- Engage: Use the "Raise Hand" feature or chat panel to ask questions.
- Schedule Session: Create a calendar invite and share the meeting link through KHAS Learn.
- Meeting Options: Configure lobby and presentation permissions according to class requirements.
- Interactive Group Work: Utilize breakout rooms to assign collaborative tasks to student cohorts.
- Manage Recording: Initiate recordings at the start of sessions to ensure reliable archiving.
- Test your audio and headset configuration prior to joining live sessions.
