Sümeyra Hassan, Our PhD Student, Named Finalist in the IEEE ICC 2026 Doctoral Thesis Competition

Sümeyra Hassan, a PhD student and Research Assistant in the Department of Electrical and Electronics Engineering at Kadir Has University, has qualified for the final round of the doctoral thesis competition to be held as part of the IEEE International Conference on Communications (ICC) 2026 in Glasgow, United Kingdom, with her doctoral dissertation titled “Joint Communication and Sensing and Positioning with Enhanced Physical Layer Security in RF and Optical Communications,” conducted under the supervision of Prof. Erdal Panayırcı.

Organized by the IEEE Communications Society (ComSoc), IEEE ICC is recognized as one of the most prestigious international conferences in the fields of communications and signal processing.
