Professional Development Workshop: “Keeping Communication Alive: Student-Centered Approach in an Academic Context”

On September 17–18, 2025, the School of Foreign Languages hosted a two-day professional development workshop titled “Keeping Communication Alive: Learner-Centredness in Academic Context.” Facilitated by the PDU Team Şölen Altay and Billur Ülkü, the event brought together many teachers who actively engaged in discussions and classroom-based activities. Participants explored how Communicative Language Teaching (CLT) principles and differentiation strategies can be applied to strengthen learner-centredness in academic settings. Teachers also presented their own lesson ideas, creating a collaborative environment where they exchanged strategies to enhance communication, engagement, and success in their classrooms.
