Computer Laboratories Support Services

As the Directorate of Information Technologies, we provide comprehensive technical support and management services to ensure the uninterrupted and efficient use of computer laboratories at our university. On-site support, maintenance, software updates, and system improvement services are provided to students and academic staff during lecture, exam, and project processes.

Daily Operations and Laboratory Management
  • Our laboratories open at 08:00 on weekdays; cleaning, system, and device checks are performed.
  • The support team remains on duty until 22:00 depending on lecture and exam schedules.
  • Reservation processes are conducted via SAP; continuous communication is maintained with faculty secretariats.
  • Weekly class schedules and availability status are shared with students.
Technical Support and User Services
  • Immediate on-site intervention is provided for software, network, or hardware problems in laboratories.
  • LockDown Browser, projection, and connection support is provided during exams.
  • Requests for smart podiums, cameras, TVs, and microphones from other faculties are fulfilled.
  • Full-time technical support is provided to faculty members during event and exam processes.
Hardware and Software Maintenance
  • Format, image, and update procedures are applied to laboratory computers at the beginning of each semester.
  • Windows system issues, network errors, and hardware malfunctions are resolved quickly.
  • Engineering and statistics software (e.g., MATLAB, SPSS) is installed based on faculty requests.
  • Projectors, printers, and peripherals undergo periodic maintenance.
Laboratory Equipment and Device Management
  • Calibration and maintenance processes are carried out for oscilloscopes, signal generators, multimeters, and power supplies.
  • Arduino sets, CAD systems, and circuit components are checked and organized.
  • Purchasing requests are created for missing or defective equipment.
  • Software updates for microprocessor, network, and fablab devices are performed regularly.
Supported Systems and Collaboration
  • Exam and laboratory planning is done via the SAP system.
  • Laboratory sharing and infrastructure support are provided for common exams between faculties.
  • The technical team takes an active role in promotion days, registration periods, and project presentations.
Quality, Security, and Improvement
  • Cleaning, painting, and layout maintenance processes of laboratory environments are carried out regularly.
  • All laboratories are monitored by 24/7 camera systems; security records are stored according to procedures.
  • Official investigation support is provided in cases of lost items, system failure, or security breaches.
