TÜBİTAK 3005 Project Grant for Prof. Dr. Nima Jafari Navimipour

It is our distinct pleasure to announce that the project coordinated by Prof. Dr. Nima Jafari Navimipour from the Department of Computer Engineering and entitled “An Early-Warning Mental Health System for Detecting Anxiety and Depression Disorders among Social Media Users in Türkiye Utilizing an Enhanced Explainable Learning Algorithm” has been funded by TUBİTAK 3005 – Social Sciences and Humanities Program.

The project aims to analyze multiple data types from social media to enable the early detection of anxiety and depression symptoms. By developing an AI-powered early warning system through Instagram, the project seeks to enhance mental health awareness, improve access to healthcare resources, and strengthen public support mechanisms for mental well-being.

We congratulate our faculty member for his achievement and wish him continued success.

We also would like to thank Prof. Dr. Feza Kerestecioğlu, Assoc. Prof. Aslı Çarkoğlu and Assoc. Prof. Oğuzhan Ceylan for their valuable contributions during the panels.
