SDG 14

KHAS contributes to the protection of aquatic ecosystems through environmental education, research projects, and awareness activities. Students engage in projects focused on reducing water pollution and understanding the ecological significance of marine and freshwater habitats. The University’s courses on environmental science and sustainable design emphasize the need to protect aquatic life, while community projects raise awareness on proper waste disposal to prevent marine pollution in Istanbul’s waterways.
