SDG 1

Kadir Has University actively contributes to eradicating poverty through both social engagement and academic research.  Student teams collaborated with the Basic Needs Association (TİDER) to support municipal food banks in Şişli and Beyoğlu, receiving training on urban poverty and food waste before volunteering in daily operations. Faculty-led TÜBİTAK 3501 research explored cooperation under resource scarcity, and publications addressed sustainable income support policies in Turkey. In addition, initiatives like the Zorlu PSM Theatre Workshop provided free professional training to aspiring artists from disadvantaged backgrounds, promoting cultural participation and social inclusion.
