{"id":805,"date":"2024-08-14T10:44:53","date_gmt":"2024-08-14T07:44:53","guid":{"rendered":"http:\/\/www.khas.edu.tr\/blog\/2024\/08\/14\/academicians-from-khas-on-the-list-of-worlds-most-influential-scientists\/"},"modified":"2025-05-08T17:50:34","modified_gmt":"2025-05-08T14:50:34","slug":"academicians-from-khas-on-the-list-of-worlds-most-influential-scientists","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/www.khas.edu.tr\/en\/academicians-from-khas-on-the-list-of-worlds-most-influential-scientists\/","title":{"rendered":"Academicians from KHAS on the List of World&#8217;s Most Influential Scientists"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>The 2022 results of the<strong> &#8220;List of the World&#8217;s Most Influential Scientists&#8221;<\/strong>, prepared annually by researchers from Stanford University based on the data in the <strong>SCOPUS <\/strong>index database, have been announced.<\/p>\n<p>In creating the list prepared as<strong> \u201cCareer-Long Impact\u201d<\/strong> until the end of 2022 and <strong>\u201cAnnual Impact\u201d<\/strong> for 2022; international criteria such as total number of citations, number of patents, h-index, hm-index, number of articles and number of qualified publications were used.<\/p>\n<p>The Vice Rector of our University and Dean of our Faculty of Engineering and Natural Sciences is listed in the <strong>&#8220;Career-Long Impact&#8221;<\/strong> category of the list, which includes more than 200 thousand scientists worldwide who continue their work in 22 scientific fields and 176 sub-fields. <strong>Prof. Dr. A. Nihat Berker<\/strong>, Dean of our Faculty of Communication <strong>Prof. Dr. Metin Kozak,<\/strong> from our Molecular Biology and Genetics Department <strong>Emeritus Prof. Dr. M. \u00d6nder Pekcan,<\/strong> from our Electrical and Electronics Engineering Department <strong>Emeritus Prof. Dr. Erdal Panay\u0131rc\u0131<\/strong>, from our Industrial Engineering Department With <strong>Prof. Dr. Volkan Ediger<\/strong> from our Computer Engineering Department <strong>Assoc. Prof.. Dr. Nima Jafari Navimipour <\/strong>took place.<\/p>\n<p>Among the influential names in the <strong>&#8220;Annual Impact&#8221;<\/strong> category for 2022 are our University academics. <strong>Prof. Dr. Metin Kozak, Prof. Dr. Erdal Panay\u0131rc\u0131, Prof. Dr. Volkan Ediger, Assoc.
