The Architecture for People – Architecture for the Public International Architectural Design Competition was held this year with a theme focused on the integration of Syrian refugees into Turkish society. \u00c7a\u011fan K\u00f6ksal, Bar\u0131\u015f A\u00e7\u0131k, Burak Arifo\u011flu, Beg\u00fcm Yolda\u015f, and Ak\u0131n Ert\u00fcrk, students from the Faculty of Art and Design, Department of Architecture, won third prize with their project titled \u201cBoundless.\u201d<\/p>\n\n
The competition, which seeks design ideas to contribute to the social integration of Syrian refugees living in the Reyhanl\u0131 district on the Turkish border, consists of two categories: professional and student. The jury members include Prof. Juhani Pallasmaa, Prof. Dr. Suha \u00d6zkan, Prof. Dr. Meltem G\u00fcrel, Dean of the Faculty of Architecture at Ya\u015far University, Lecturer Dr. Chen-Yu Chiu, Assoc. Prof. Dr. Chun-Hsiung Wang, Ying-Chun Hsieh, Sheng-Yuan Huang, Shuenn-Ren Liou, and Nuno Martins.<\/p>\n\n
