Burcu G\u00f6lgedar and Ece Y\u00fcksel, graduates of the Department of Theater, starred in \u201cThree Thousand Years of Longing\u201d, the opening film of the 75th Cannes Film Festival, the world’s most prestigious cinema event. Burcu and Ece joined the cast of the film, directed by George Miller and starring Tilda Swinton and Idris Elba, after a workshop led by the film’s dramaturg Nicholas Lathouris.<\/p>\n\n
Our Film and Drama MA student Ezgi Balta\u015f, who was the casting director of the Istanbul leg of \u201cThree Thousand Years of Longing\u201d, was also the casting director of \u201cDry Days\u201d directed by Emin Alper, which was accepted to the festival from Turkey and included in the \u201cUn Certain Regard\u201d section, and participated in the festival with two films.<\/p>\n\n
