The documentary film \u201cKavur\u201d by F\u0131rat \u00d6zeler, our 4th year student from the Department of Radio, Television and Cinema, which had its world premiere as part of the \u201cCinema Regained\u201d program of the 52nd Rotterdam International Film Festival, continues to return from national and international festivals with awards.<\/p>\n\n
Finalist of the 42nd Istanbul Film Festival National Documentary Film Competition, the documentary won the Best Film Award at the 24th International Golden Saffron Documentary Film Festival. The production received the Best Sound Design Award at the 16th Documentarist Istanbul Documentary Days and was recently awarded Honorable Mention by the jury of the \u201cLocation Denied\u201d competition of the 21st Ischia Film Festival.<\/p>\n\n
The documentary \u201cKavur\u201d focuses on director and screenwriter \u00d6mer Kavur, one of the most important names in Turkish cinema with his many films such as \u201cAnayurt Oteli\u201d, \u201cGece Yolculu\u011fu\u201d, \u201cGizli Y\u00fcz\u201d and \u201cAkrebin Yolculu\u011fu\u201d.<\/p>\n\n
