The opening speeches of this year’s academy were made by KHAS Rector Prof. Dr. Sondan Durukano\u011flu Feyiz, DEHUKAM Director Mustafa Ba\u015fkara, Former Ambassador to Athens and Ministry of Foreign Affairs Bilateral Political Affairs and Maritime-Aviation-Border Director General Burak \u00d6z\u00fcgergin.<\/p>\n\n

Following the opening speeches, a cooperation protocol was signed between Kadir Has University and DEHUKAM.<\/p>\n\n

The KHAS International Maritime Law Summer Academy brings together judges on international courts, academics and practitioners working in the field of international law, and participants to provide training on fundamental issues related to Maritime Law. In addition to courses on fundamental issues, certain courses in the program are dedicated to a specific topic selected for that year, aiming to increase awareness and knowledge about current issues related to maritime law. The courses given in the program are taught in English by experts who are experts in the relevant field. This year\u2019s program will include trips to the General Directorate of Coastal Safety and the Coast Guard Command.<\/p>\n\n

KHAS International Maritime Law Summer Academy will be held this year between July 24 and August 4, 2023, at the KHAS Cibali Campus, in cooperation with Ankara University Maritime Law National Research Center (DEHUKAM).<\/p>\n\n
