Kadir Has University is committed to becoming a global research university and continues to invest in its infrastructure to support this vision. In this context, new buildings are being constructed, including a Central Engineering Laboratory, a dedicated facility for the Mechatronics and Civil Engineering Departments, and a building for the Creative Industries Platform.<\/p>

These new facilities are designed and built in line with smart building principles and the strategic goals outlined in the 2020\u20132024 Strategic Plan, particularly focusing on zero waste <\/i>and the increase of open and green spaces<\/i>.<\/p>

The Engineering Building has been completed and features advanced technological systems developed with sustainability and energy efficiency in mind. Key systems include:<\/p>

  • Heat recovery ventilation systems<\/b>: These systems condition outdoor air to a specific temperature before introducing it indoors, helping to maintain indoor comfort while significantly reducing energy consumption.<\/li>
  • Lighting automation system<\/b>: This system allows lighting across the building to be monitored and controlled remotely, preventing unnecessary energy use and improving overall efficiency.<\/li>
  • VRF (Variable Refrigerant Flow) system<\/b>: This flexible HVAC solution enables users to operate units in either heating or cooling mode and to control individual units independently, ensuring energy is used only as needed.<\/li><\/ul>

    Through these strategic investments, Kadir Has University continues to strengthen both its academic and physical infrastructure, creating a sustainable and innovative campus environment.<\/p>

    Kadir Has University adheres to the Public Building Standards Guideline, which defines the principles of resource-efficient and sustainable design for public institutions. This approach ensures that all campus development projects are carried out in line with national regulations promoting the responsible and effective use of public resources.<\/p>

    In addition, the university has established its own institutional framework to guide sustainable infrastructure development. This internal guide outlines the university\u2019s policies and practical measures for energy efficiency, sustainable construction, and resource management across all new and existing facilities.<\/p>
