Prof. Defne Karaosmano\u011flu<\/strong><\/h4><p><b>\u201c<strong>Social History of Household Technologies in Turkey (1930-2020): Modernization in the Everyday Lives of Women<\/strong>\u201d<\/b><\/p><p>The project intends to present holistic historical writing focused on social, cultural, political, and technological changes that try to understand how housework-related technologies in Turkey changed the house, household, in-house roles, in-house interpersonal dynamics through their representation and use, how they removed or reproduced the distinction between public and private, modern and traditional.<\/p><p>The project consists of two phases: The first phase includes a media archive study covering a history of 90 years between 1930-2020. A report comprising visuals and printed texts on the history of home technologies in Turkey will be prepared due to a media archive study covering newspapers, magazines, movies, television, and online media examined through statement analysis. The second phase of the project, oral history research: In-depth interviews will be conducted with female users residing in three major cities.\u00a0<\/p><p>A researcher, a post-doctoral researcher, a master&#8217;s fellow, two doctoral fellows and two undergraduate fellows are working on the project.<\/p><p>Starting on February 15, 2021, the project will continue until August 15, 2023.\u00a0<\/p><h4><strong>Prof. Dr. Banu Baybars<\/strong><\/h4><p>Kadir Has \u00dcniversitesi T\u00fcrkiye Ara\u015ft\u0131rmalar\u0131 Grubu ile Global Akademi\u00a0ortakl\u0131\u011f\u0131nda geli\u015ftirilen <b>T\u00fcrkiye E\u011filimleri Ara\u015ft\u0131rmas\u0131<\/b>&#8216;n\u0131n 2021 y\u0131l\u0131 saha \u00e7al\u0131\u015fmalar\u0131 23 Ekim-5 Kas\u0131m 2021 tarihleri aras\u0131nda ger\u00e7ekle\u015ftirildi. T\u00fcrkiye temsiliyetine sahip 26 ilde ya\u015fayan 18 ya\u015f \u00fczeri 1.000 ki\u015fiyle yap\u0131lan g\u00f6r\u00fc\u015fmelere dayanan \u00e7al\u0131\u015fmaya g\u00f6re T\u00fcrkiye\u2019de halk\u0131n ana g\u00fcndem maddesi \u201cekonomik sorunlar\u201d. Ge\u00e7ti\u011fimiz y\u0131la g\u00f6re oran\u0131n\u0131 \u00fc\u00e7e katlayan \u201cm\u00fclteci sorunu\u201d ikinci s\u0131raya yerle\u015firken, \u201cKoronavir\u00fcs salg\u0131n\u0131\u201d \u00fc\u00e7\u00fcnc\u00fc s\u0131rada yer ald\u0131.<\/p><p><span lang=\"EN-US\" xml:lang=\"EN-US\">The 2021 field study of the\u00a0<strong>\u201cTurkey Trends\u201d\u00a0<\/strong>Survey<strong>,<\/strong>\u00a0developed in partnership with\u00a0<strong>Kadir Has University\u2019s Turkey Research Group<\/strong>\u00a0and\u00a0<strong>Global Academy<\/strong>, were carried out by Akademetre Research and Strategic Planning between October 23 and November 5, 2021. Participants of the survey comprised of 1,000 people over the age of 18 residing in city centers in 26 provinces.<\/span><span lang=\"EN-US\" xml:lang=\"EN-US\">\u00a0According to the study, the main concern of the Turkish public is \u201ceconomic problems\u201d. The \u201crefugee issue\u201d, which tripled its percentage compared to last year, took the second place, followed by the \u201cCoronavirus pandemic\u201d in the third place.<\/span><\/p><h4><strong>Res. Mine Bertan Y\u0131lmaz and Prof. Dr. Banu Baybars<\/strong><\/h4><p>The book chapter titled\u00a0<strong>&#8220;A Critical Perspective on Greenwashing Under the Roof of Corporate Environmentalism<\/strong>,<strong>&#8220;<\/strong>\u00a0co-authored by Mine Bertan Y\u0131lmaz and Prof. Dr. Banu Baybars Hawks from KHAS Public Relations and Information Department is published in\u00a0<em>Green Marketing in Emerging Economies: A Communications Perspective,\u00a0<\/em>a part of the &#8220;Palgrave Studies of Marketing in Emerging Economies&#8221; book series by Palgrave MacMillan.<\/p><p>In the study,\u00a0the relationship between corporate social responsibility practices and green laundering practices is critically analyzed.
