We bring our teachers together with our expert academicians with our 10th KHAS Teacher Academy event, which we organize with the belief that it will contribute to both the personal and professional processes of our esteemed teachers.<\/p>\n\n

Our Rector Prof. Dr. Sondan Durukano\u011flu Feyiz, Dr. Lecturer. Prof. Dr. \u0130dil Ak\u0131n (Public Relations and Publicity), Assist. Prof. Dr. Orkun G\u00fcner (Faculty of Law), Assoc. Prof. Dr. Asl\u0131 Togan E\u011frican (International Trade and Finance), Assoc. Prof. Taner Arsan (Computer Engineering) and Assoc. Prof. Dr. Ali Dur (Architecture), the event will start on Saturday, December 7 at 10:30 am at Kadir Has University Galata Hall. After our academy, our event will continue with professionally guided tours of Balat and Rezan Has Museum.<\/p>\n\n

All teachers participating in the event will receive a certificate of participation.<\/p>\n\n

Are you ready to spend a beautiful Saturday in the side streets of Istanbul’s most cosmopolitan neighborhood?<\/p>\n\n

One of the most important settlements of both the Byzantine and Ottoman periods was the neighborhood of Fener. Because of its steep slopes, the residents of this neighborhood called it Petrion during the Byzantine period. The cute Greek architecture houses that shout \u201cwe are a part of this city\u201d, the historical Greek Patriarchate of Fener, which is the spiritual leader of approximately 250 million Orthodox people in the world, are among the works of the neighborhood.<\/p>\n\n

Since time immemorial, the district of Fener was one of the educational centers of the Greek community.<\/p>\n\n

The neighborhood of Balat, which bears the sadness of the Seferads and creates the atmosphere of Jerusalem in the middle of Istanbul with its cosmopolitan structure, named after the word Palation, meaning \u201cpalace\u201d, is also presented to you in this tour as the Nefs-i Istanbul corner where we will share its secrets with you.<\/p>\n\n
