A significant focus of contemporary research in the field is the integration of copula modeling, which provides a robust framework for understanding the dependencies between process variables. This seminar delves into the foundational knowledge that has shaped the SPC field, tracing its evolution from classic principles to the current state. Average Run Length (ARL) is a critical measure in SPC for assessing the performance of control charts. The seminar content elaborates on how copula-based methods may be used to enhance process analysis in SPC, particularly through the ARL analysis of control charts.<\/p>\n\n<p><strong>Speaker Biography: <\/strong>\u00d6zlen Erkal S\u00f6nmez received her B.Sc. degree from Kocaeli University (2009), M.Sc. degree from Istanbul Technical University (2011), and Ph.D. degree from Istanbul University (2017) in Industrial Engineering. She presently works as a research assistant in the Faculty of Engineering at Istanbul University-Cerrahpa\u015fa. Her teaching responsibilities include courses such as Statistical Quality Control, Facilities Planning, and Selected Topics in Industrial Engineering. Her research interests mainly focus on Quality Control, Process Analysis, and Machine Learning applications. Dr. S\u00f6nmez also contributes to quality improvement studies at her institution and departmental-based international relations.
