Our Department of International Trade and Finance continues its membership in the CFA University Close Relationship Program
On October 14, 2020, our Department of International Trade and Finance, which is affiliated to the Faculty of Economics, Administrative and Social Sciences at our university, was recognized by the CFA (Chartered Financial Analyst) Institute, one of the world’s best professional organizations in the field of financial analysis and investment expertise, and was selected for the CFA University Affiliate Program (UAP), thus taking its place among similar elite departments in its field on a global scale. As a result of the evaluation of our department’s performance in this first year, we are happy to learn that the decision was taken to continue its membership.
Thanks to this membership, which is very prestigious both academically and professionally for our department and university, our professors and students can participate in events, information presentations and workshops offered by this organization. Our students can earn a fee scholarship from the CFA and take the three-stage financial analyst/specialist certification exams, which are of great importance. Those who are successful in the exams can join the ranks of preferred professionals as financial experts in every organization in the world.
The CFA Institute evaluates the departments selected for the UAP program in terms of their overall academic activities, their level of education and training, their performance in scientific research and, of course, their participation in CFA activities, and makes a decision on the continuation of the department’s membership in the UAP. It is with great pleasure that we learned that as a result of the 2020-2021 evaluation of our Department of International Trade and Finance, it was decided to continue its place and membership in CFA-UAP. We congratulate our department for this success.
