New Project Support to KHAS under the US Embassy Grant Program
Assoc. Prof. Salih Bıçakcı from our Department of International Relations’ project titled “She4Cyber: Empowering Women in Cybersecurity” was awarded a grant from the US Embassy Grant Program.
The She4Cyber project aims to increase the capacity and visibility of women in the cybersecurity sector, raise awareness of gender-based discrimination in the sector and combat this discrimination. The She4Cyber project has two main objectives: To improve Turkey’s cybersecurity capacity and to increase women’s participation in the cybersecurity sector, bringing different dimensions to cybersecurity approaches and bringing new perspectives to the sector.
The She4Cyber project, supported by the US Embassy Grant Program, is supported by SistersLab, a non-governmental organization that aims to raise awareness of gender equality in STEM (Science, Technology, Engineering, Mathematics) fields, and The Diana Initiative, a non-governmental organization working to improve diversity and inclusion in cyber security.
