Jörg Menke-Peitzmeyer’s play is translated into Turkish

The play “Steht auf wenn ihr Schalker seid”, written by Jörg Menke-Peitzmeyer, one of the lecturers of KHAS Theater Department, has been translated into Turkish under the name “Yaşa Fenerbahçe”. Onk Agency holds the copyrights of the one-act play translated by Aytuğ Erdil.

About the play: Melissa, a young girl, is a Fenerbahçe fan. A fanatic in the truest sense of the word. She knows everything about her favorite club and its players. It is impossible to separate her from the Fenerbahçe jersey, and all her thoughts revolve around the next match. Her football passion was inherited from her grandfather, who took Melisa to every game, and she missed very much after his death

Only in the stadium can she find the feeling of security and love, and only she resurrects among the fans. She is not good at school, and her family is causing her problems. Because they find her excitement pathological, they brought her to a psychiatrist. The play tells about her passion, the enthusiasm from match to match, and the inner emptiness she is trying to fill with it.
