We are seeking to fill in a postdoctoral researcher in a research project on the usage of additive manufacturing in spare parts supply chains at Kadir Has University, Turkey. The position is funded by TUBITAK 1001 program for 36 months and it is expected to start in July or August. The postdoctoral researcher will be offered with a one-year initial contract, which will be extended to 3 years in total. The candidate is expected to
1 - to conduct research that can be published in top operations research/management journals,
2 - to coordinate a Ph.D. candidate and 3 master students in the project team to maximize the quality and the quantity of the publications,
3 - to collaborate with other members of the research group consisting of industrial, mechanical engineers, a computer scientist, and a mathematician,
4 - to contribute to the development of new grant proposals.
We seek candidates with a strong background in stochastic modeling, dynamic programming, Markov decision processes, heuristics development, and strong programming skills. The postdoctoral researcher is expected to have a Ph.D. in Industrial Engineering, Operations Research, Mathematics, Operations Management, Supply Chain Management, Computer Science, or in a related area.
At Kadir Has University, postdoc researchers receive life support on top of TUBITAK’s regular postdoc salary (6500 ₺/month).
