Policy Report: ‘Quo Vadis Civil Society in Europe’s Neighbourhoods?’

This policy report reflects on the role of Civil Society Organizations (CSOs) during the COVID-19 Pandemic; the challenges of youth empowerment in Europe’s Neighbourhoods; gender dynamics in the region; the interplay between intercultural dialogue and civil society; and the macro-challenges of sustainable development in the region’s urban centers. It is edited by Nadiia Bureiko and Dimitrios Triantaphyllou with contributions by Cristina Rigman, Stefanos Vallianatos, Agapi Kandilaki, Michael Kavuklis, and Stefan Cibian.

It was prepared within the context on the 2020 International Neighbourhood Symposium on “Youth Empowerment, Civic Engagement, and Sustainable Development in Europe’s Neighbourhoods”, organized jointly by the Center for International and European Studies (CIES), NGO Quadrivium (Chernivtsi, Ukraine), NGO Promotion of Intercultural Cooperation with the financial support of the Black Sea Trust for Regional Cooperation of the German Marshall Fund of the United States.
